***** SUFISM AND SOCIAL & POLITICAL LIFE *******

Sufism supports people who have a talent for politics for partaking in political affairs for the benefit of society and country development.

King Suleiman (Solomon), respected not only by Muslims and Christians, but also by representatives of other religions, was one of the clearest examples when a person combined spirituality, wisdom and political talent for governmental affairs..

Sufism also does not prohibit participation in country defense in cases of protection , but everything that relates to so-called "fitna" in Islam (internal political unrest, spreading fake news, raising conflicts and strikes within society) here Sufism adheres to a clear general Islamic rule of non-interference.

One of the tenets of Sufism says: "The people have the kind of leader they deserve" (Mawlana Shaykh Nurjan Mirahmadi). Islam & Sufism are teaching people to respect political authorities and those who are involved in government work must serve them correctly and honestly.

This partly comes from the conception that problems a person faces are coming from his/her internal faults, sins and bad character (what in modern psychology is called "internal locus control"), but not from the country ruler, whatever he is called : monarch, tsar, shah, president, prime-minister, etc.

Sufism's support for monarchy as a way of governmental structure comes from the fact that monarchy largely reflects on earth the structure that exists in the heavenly kingdom, where saints are also divided into ranks and degrees of proximity to God.

However, this does not mean that Sufism supports only monarchs . Presidents, prime- ministers and any other personalities behind the governance of individual countries also deserve respect and have the right to join Sufi teachings and Sufi mentors with respect and following Sufi etiquette.

Sufi mentors, as well as adherents of other religions, proceed from the fact that all people are equal in front of God.There is no social status or hierarchy in the presence of a Sufi Guide!

Whatever the status of a person on earth, in prayer to God, all statuses and all earthly merits are reset.

Seeking knowledge in Tariqa and following a Sufi Guide requires patience. It’s not always possible & necessary for the human mind to understand Sufi Talks in its full meaning (especially for newcomers) . The longer you stay with a sufi teacher the deeper understanding comes as time goes.

A political leader who comes to a Sufi mentor for advice and spiritual support has the same right as all other people, and for the support provided to Tariqas, political leaders also receive rewards from God and from the Prophets, to one degree or another.

Moreover, when a country leader takes spiritual guidance from a Sufi Shaykh it affects positively on his personality and on all areas and people under his control as well.

In one of his sermons, Mawlana Sheikh Nazim al Haqqani said very clearly and clearly: "Don't curse your political leaders" (Don't curse your political leaders)

"Don't Curse The Leaders Upon You & Mawlana's First Visit to London 1974"

First of all, any political leader, no matter how he may seem, is primarily just a person, and curses of anyone return primarily to those who curse.

Secondly, the spread of false rumors, fake news, turmoils, curses of those who responsible for state-level decisions leads to double harming (since political leaders are taking decisions for many other people life) and this harm returns to the enemies of political leaders being increased many times.

Sufism doesn't call for the rejection of household duties as a part of daily life, but motivates to keep balance between achieving success in eternal and earthly life , however, the main emphasis still remains on spiritual practices, especially during the holy months and holidays. In general, Sufism motivates to implement God given talents, abilities and knowledge to earn for sustenance and the opportunity to serve society
